Crew Wanted: Captain and/or crew for 35' sailboat from Friday Harbor to Portland, OR

I'm looking to move my 35' Columbia 10.7 to Portland, OR. I purchased the boat in Olympia and have taken it up to Friday Harbor myself, but I'd like to have some assistance for the coastal portion of the trip. I have a little experience sailing the Straight of Juan de Fuca in some pretty gnarly weather (35+ knot sustained winds, gusting higher), but I don't have much offshore experience and would like to keep a 24 hour watch while under way.


I've reached out to a few captains that I know, but so far none have had the time in their schedule to make the trip. Ideally I'd like to work with one captain/crew and myself to make planning easier, though if more crew are desired that is okay and I may have some that I can reach out to if needed.


I can pay transport costs (preferably relatively local to the PNW) and a reasonable daily rate for a captain and crew.



At this point I'm pretty open to other arrangements as well. If you'd prefer that I not be aboard I am okay with that as well.


I'd like to do this as soon as possible, particularly as the weather windows are getting harder to come by as time passes.

I've sailed from Warrenton OR to Friday Harbor, and along this route with other skippers. But, those trips were accomplished in August, or eralier. Even late August, the skipper I was crewing for was concerned about the weather. I would agree with Thumbs Up, that it would be best to wait until next year. Favorable weather windows are sparse this time of year.

Most likely you won’t find a weather window this late.
You could return to Olympia and truck it to Portland.
