Help with Possibilities ???

I will try to be short with my question. But first some info. I am a complete noob to sailing, I am a light sport airplane builder/pilot looking to plan my dream of sailing with my wife to all destinations. We are interested in being extremely secluded for the first 2-3 years in the south pacific. Is this still possible??? Or are we to late? Thanks to all who reply, as I would highly appreciate book info/advice/study material.

Thanks ………….Dren

Going camping my mates said "Yeah we want to be right out in the bush far from anyone!!!!!!!!! As long as I can get a newspaper every day!"

You need a supermarket attached to your paradise

I am waiting for a sensible answer and I might put the lat/lon straight into the gps

Well, there's nothing more secluded than two people in a boat in the middle of the Pacific ocean. I assume you still intend to go ashore and see the sights/meet the natives - not pulling a 3-year hermitage a la Reid Stowe (1000days.net - Home)? I think there are a lot of places that remain off the beaten track. Take Manuae Atoll - it's only inhabited for part of the year as it is very exposed during the stormy season.

Or take the "other" Manuae Atoll (Hervey Isl) at 19 deg 21'S x158 deg 56'W) consisting of Te-Au-o-Tu, a small island on the E side of a lagoon, and Manuae, a small island on the W side of a lagoon.
A coral reef surrounds the atoll and there is no passage through the reef. There is no safe anchorage, but with offshore or light winds, temporary anchorage can be found off the NW side of Manuae, in 16 to 22m, about 0.1 mile off the reef.

Thanks for the comments....

I tried to not sound so typical or outrageous but I truly "do the" secluded. Thanks for the input and the minor comic relief. I have had multiple 3 month excursions in the cascade mountains of Oregon with out seeing more than 2-3 people other than my wife. I am not a survivalist, just one who appreciates seclusion.

Thanks again all for the input.
