What's this tool called?

Can someone ID this tool for me. It takes the place of the 2nd person needed to feed the bead of the headsail into the roller furler groove, while you pull on the halyard. The shackle attaches to the stay and the sail bead rides through the balls in the triangle. I need to know the name of it.

More generally, luff rope prefeeder.

(Luff tape is one way of putting a luff rope on a sail, but it's not the only way)

Thanks. I'm selling all my sailing stuff and it'd help if I knew/could remember what stuff was.

The triangle end is often known as the dog’s balls.

Love this forum. I had this part in the catch all bin left over from PO. Always wondered what it was, may be some kind of rope restrainer. But now I know.

Second and third posts said it, it's a prefeeder. You put the jib luff rope through it before putting the jib in the jib foil. It keeps the bolt rope at a low enough angle so the jib luff doesn't pull out of the foil while raising the jib.

Re: What's this tool called?

I had one on my boat. It's actually part of the hardware and not really a tool.

In Flanders ("Belgium" we call it "apekloten" which translates to "monkey balls"...

I'm trying $40 on Ebay, I know I paid close to $100 for it. 26 watchers so far, it might go.
