It's a good question.

Since you're still "into" paper, you are aware that there are things called books, some of which have been actually written about these very subjects.

I'm kinda kidding...

Chapman's is a very good one, but there are all sorts of piloting books available out there.

Has everyone forgotten about a thing called a sextant?not too hard to use just takes practice.
