That's a good one. I don't hear it played very much.

Nothing better to get you pumped up for a night out then watching Stop Making Sense.

Re: Music to Sail by . . .

My boat came with two huge speakers and stereo.

It has been used three times in two years.

Odd aren't I?

I listen to what is around me. If it is yahoos, I move.

Re: Music to Sail by . . .

I always liked A.L. Lloyd and Ewan MacColl and their sea shanties--some may recall their work from the old 1956 film Moby Dick.

A sample of one of their songs.

Re: Music to Sail by . . .

what! am i only one likes to listen to the sound of the sea and wind??
when i am feeling like music of the man made variety , i love the buicks..they rock!!
and anything else bluesy and fun....just do not FORCE me to have to listen to jimmy boofay...not on my boat....
reggae is good, so is zydeco, salsa, and other native music....but do not make me listen to the fakey island guys with their fakey island music. i want the real deal.that rules out eric stone, boofay and the rest. no place on my boat for that.

Re: Music to Sail by . . .

For me it's a mood thing. Some days I like Kenny Chesney Soul of a Sailor other days I like nothing, and if I've found good air and light water I like more of the Styx Sail away and classic rock that goes with that. Evenings I like Jazz. There is very little I don't like. Probably 50% or better though I'm listening to the world around me. On the hook or dock is where I am more into music. I can't/won't clean without it. :-)
