This thread may be going downhill, but at least it's not this thread:

65- by 32-foot catamaran 3200sqft of living space - Sailing Anarchy - Sailing Anarchy Forums

Over TEN THOUSAND posts !

And yes, I'm in there near the ending, but not proud of it.

For goodness sake, what does the utter proven reality of human caused Global Warming have to do with the abject inability of the cruising community to find out what's really going on with a branch of the Mexican government?

1. It was an inside Joke left over from the "save the planet" thread
2. Not everyone buys into the MMGW Religion, but calling nonbelievers "deniers" does play right into the religious aspect of the MMGW movement. Time itself was once thought to be a "utter proven reality" constant, but now modern physics shows it to be..well...NOT.
3. We know what is going on with the Mexican Government. They made a mistake and are now working through the Big Government system to try and fix it. The same slow process happened when the Government bozos running the Obamacare debacle tried to fix the website and will continue to happen as the disaster rolls on. It’s what Government does…screw simple things up.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program of entertaining ourselves as we wait for new news from Mexico, or until someone makes something up, which ever comes first.

Oh and remember….do you DID ask.

Maybe because they know you're a secret US agent

You, me, Richard, this forum, Lat38, all wrapped up with a bow on us: we're peanuts.

What! All this time I thought I was a legend...

So because a bunch of sailors on the internet cannot solve a problem that has surely been addressed at some official level with no apparent results you're mad?

Are you also going to blame Cruiser's Forum for not solving world peace.

I think if you go back to the beginning of this and the other thread on the subject the issue has been discussed and debated ad infinitum. I do believe a big part of the problem is inconsistent, arbitrary and probably at times incorrect enforcement of the rules; a common problem based on my previous experiences in Mexico and most other countries in the Caribbean. So you get reports from some cruisers (honest and accurate I sincerely believe) that they had all the required paperwork but were still "tagged" and others that claim no problem at all.

So the fact that this is a complex issue with no clear solution is somehow the fault of the forum? As my teenager used to say, "whatever!".

So his first post was to say "Hi I'm new here, please help me.", his second post is "You guys suck, later Dudes!" Impressive range in a short time, kind of reminds me of my Wife, but she is bipolar.

Ya...It's awful isn't it. However there were 3 other threads that covered it. Did you search for them? I would imagine there have been over 500 post on the topic thus far. So if you're still disappointed just ask for a refund...Oh wait...this is free.
