Helping Out

I have a friend that has a great deal of needs for a boat.
I would like to orgainse a swap meet if that is permitted on this forum.
I am interested in quality used items only.
The items must be in a funtionally sound condition.
There is a fair amount of water involved for this boat to move on.
This is NOT my boat.
I am just trying to help.
If you can donate and get a tax right off that would be great.
If you need/want money make your best price.
Remember we all might find ourselves up against it someday.
I will respond to all questions as they evolve.
No jokes and no nonsense posted to me please.
Thanks in advance.

Is this a non-profit like the Sea Scouts?

Re: helping out

No, this is not an non-profit org.
There is someone that is in a real need.
Too pround and would never ask.
I am doing my part because I see the need and the risk injury if these needs are not met.
Parties invovled have no ideal I am doing this .
There is today a quickly put together effort to help.
There are three of us directing our efforts outward to like minded people that is one of your own. We are hoping people of a like mind will stand up and give back. There will NOT be a penny going to anyone involved. 100% of everthing offered will be directed 100% to the one in need. This is purely an Altrulisic undertaken.
I also want to put out a call to whoever has this kind of experience and take charge at no cost. We need someone to handle monies if there is some and someone to manage and coordinate shipping, etc. If there is someone that will want to make the time and assist on site to make repairs, etc. please step up.

*** You are a person of Compassion. Thank you, but I require more information. NEED and WANT are both four letter words.

Parties invovled have no ideal I am doing this .OTE]
*** Nor do I.

Re: Helping Out

First thanks for responding.
So far you are the only one.
I have a list just now as we speak.
I am new to sailing.
Don't have my boat yet.

I said all that because I don't know what is important on the list.

I want to do what makes sailing dangerous if they try to sail without it.
Please be patient with me not being specific just yet.
Someone is going over the list and arranging them in the order of need.
