Re: Start of Cruising Season in South France

I live in Corsica when I don't sail in Turkey/Greece...
Just to say, today in Porto Vecchio, it is very sunny, probably 20 ° this afternoon under the sun. But in the night it will be 5 or 6 ° and after tomorrow 8° during the day.
It is to say that in the beginning of April it can be the same (although temperature higher) : one day in T-shirt, the other one with a polar raincoat.

Re: Start of Cruising Season in South France

SE of France, definitely.
Being my usual cruising grounds, may I recommend:
- Hyères with the national parc of the islands Porquerolles, Port Cros, Ile du Levant;
- Cap Lardier- Cap Taillat (also Parc) - Cap Camarat area;
- Saint Raphael to Cannes with the Lérins islands;
- NW Corsica (in settled weather; not to miss Cap Corse-Saint Florent; Calvi and the Girolata enclave). Further south, Bonifacio and the tiny islands between Corsica and Sardegna.
The mainland is not very appealing in NW Italy, although the islands are: Capraia, Isola d'Elba and Giglio. I do not think that in a leisurely 3 months cruise you could go very farther. In case you need details, please just ask.
