Fuel Cells

As we do not want a diesel generator on board (noisy, more maintenance and heavy), we are looking at other ways to generate power. Besides the obvious like solar panels and a windmill (I am dutch, so have to have a windmill), I am also very interested in the eFoy fuel cells. Does anyone have one installed here? what is your experience? are they as reliable and simple to use as they say they are? on what about fuel?

Thanks!

Re: Fuel Cells

Catcruiser--- I know this post is old--- but if you have had any luck gathering information on this alternative method of generating power besides the Solar/Wind set up you have-- I'd like to hear it... Looks like the eFoy system has never really taken off in marine industry because of Solar Power in the States--- Something European Countries cannot rely on for year round cruising. I see this as a Euro trend in the market--- not the states so much given the price point to start up/Set-up a system.
