Lagoon Breaker Panel

Hi everyone-we have just taken delivery of a new 400. Due to issues we wont discuss here, suffice it to say we do not have a good working relationship with our dealer. As a result we have a few questions we were hoping someone out there could help us with. First, on the breaker panel, what does the "ac plugs" breaker do? Oddly, all the ac plugs work with this breaker in the "off" position whether we are on shore power, generator, or on the inverter.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Lagoon breaker panel

First, flip that AC plugs breaker to the ON position and see if that kills the AC plugs. On some breakers it’s sometimes hard to tell which position is which.

If that doesn’t kill the feed to the AC plugs, flip all the panel breakers to the OFF position and see if any of the other breakers kills the AC plugs. If you find one, there is a labeling problem on the breaker box.

If none of the breakers kill the AC plugs, then it’s either a shorted breaker, or there is a serious wiring problem on your boat.

After safely disabling ALL sources of AC power (shore power, inverter, generator), test the breaker by removing the breaker wires and checking the action with an ohmeter.

If the breaker is good, you should either trace out the wiring yourself if you are skilled enough to do it safely, or employ an electrician to do it for you. Until the wiring problem is corrected, you have a serious hazard in case of a short in the AC wiring system.

Re: Lagoon Breaker Panel

We have had quite a few issues with 12 volt wiring with the shower pump and forward wash pump not working, the main halyard is cut short at 53 meters although the lagoon info indicates it is supposed to be 63 meters. Also having issues with the refrigerator overheating an cutting out. Apparently in hotter climates, the cabinet configuration does not allow for the heat to dissipate so it overheats and stops working and then we get a big puddle of water in front of the door where the freezer defrosted. We also had 2-12volt plugs that were never wired. This weekend we found a leak in one of the A/C units. By the way, we found out the "A/C plugs" breaker is not wired and so has no function.
