Drop the main... really! Now this will be interesting on my own! Are you offerring to help?

I'm really not sure about changing the sail drive seals, I was going to do it as we're at 900 hours but lots of people I have spoken to say they will last much longer and there is most likely nothing wrong with mine.

Do you have a link to the correct seals and a price for them? It doesn't say anything about changing the seals in my manual.

On the inside I would remove and launder all the fabric items, like mattress covers, curtains, basically anything that is fabric likes to absorb "boaty" smells.

I just stripped everything fabric off of the boat last month and spent days (lol) washing, drying, and pressing it, then put it back on the boat. You'd be amazed at how grubby some things can actually be once you get them off the boat.

I pulled the area rugs with the intention of washing them, but then tossed them once I could see that they were just unforgivably gross. I bought washable throw rugs to replace them with.

Curtains can be hand washed, air dried with the pleats reformed when the fabric is 90% dry (I use clothespins to clip them) and then rehung. They look like new.

On the outside I'd do 2 part sacrificial zincs so they can be replaced while the bottom is being cleaned vs. hauled.

Hi all,

Here’s a list of winter storage jobs I’ve just completed.

This is what I’ve done for storage out of the water where freezing isn’t likely. (Greece).

*Service engines, sail drives and genset.
*Fresh water flush inc coolant all ac units, genset and engines once out of the water via the water intake hose of each.
*Fresh water flush inc disinfectant all bilge pumps.
*Fresh water flush all toilets and leave thru holes closed with the blue toilet solution in the tank.
*Rinse thru shower bilges with disinfectant.
*Pickle water maker.
*Empty water tanks and leave with disinfectant solution which is also run thru plumbing and water pump.

*Drop all anchor chain onto a pallet, wash and WD40.
*Remove genoa and furling line.
Remove and wash all sheets.
*Pull all halyards to top of mast and coil/store in sail bag.
*Cover main sail bag with large tarpaulin.
*Wash and lube all clutches and blocks.
*Remove cockpit and helm surrounds
*Remove all cushions and store in saloon.
*Cover helm and winches. (Had covers made).
*Defrost fridge and freezer.

I’ve left the solar panels on as well as the fan in the stbd cabin above the bed and the AIS. This is keeping our batteries at 100% and the air inside the boat moving. All hatch mushroom vents are open. All doors open and curtains closed.

I’m sure I’ve forgotten some stuff we’ve done but this should be most of the important stuff.

I’m also doing some 2 year maintenance jobs but I’m off to work and ran out of time so will have to wait until I get back next year.

What holds the soft headliner in the ceiling of the salon? Can it be easily removed and replaced if needed?

Robby, I've typed 2 replies to this now and both have dissapeared into cyber space... 3rd time lucky?

Replacing the headlining is a nightmare job! It takes 2 people and Lagoon has a tool for it. If you can get it done under a warranty claim, then do it.

It's a way for Lagoon to save money on the previous fixed panel head linings. Now to access anything under the flybridge, you need to replace the whole liner. Also, beware, any condensation with gather under the recesses for the blocks above and drip down and stain the liner which is why ours was replaced. Our broker was very good about it tho and didn't hesitate to investgate where the water was coming from.

I am the new owner of a ‘15 450F.

I want to know what the best wiring path is between the starboard flybridge/cockpit roof (exterior red highlighted) and the breaker panel (interior red highlighted)?

I have a satcom device like the one pictured that I need to mount on the roof and the run control and RF cables to the breaker panel.

Is the best way down the support highlighted in orange?

It there is another way let me know!

I installed an alarm siren there... You can run the cables from the antenna to the stbd forward end of the hardtop. There are enough access panels, or speaker openings, under the hardtop. From inside the salon, on the aft stbd corner there is the top cabinet with an access panel facing aft and (I believe) another panel facing up. Once you run the wires to there, you just drop them to reach behind the panel. It is very doable. I did it myself but that was about 6 years ago. You just have to start opening access panels in the direction you want to go.
