Getting to back of Freezer to replace thermostat

The thermostat on my Vitifrigo top loading freezer (400S2) has stopped working.

Replacing the thermostat should be easy, except the detection tube (?) goes out a hole inside the freezer to somewhere on the back side of the freezer (presumably the cold plate) and I have no idea how to get access to that spot to replace the thermostat.

Anyone know how to access the backside of the freezer without immense amounts of woodworking? Or suggestions how to replace the thermostat in the freezer?

Re: Getting to back of Freezer to replace thermostat

We found that with our L400 the only way to get at the back of the fridge or freezer was to slide the entire fridge or freezer unit out after taking off the false wooden door. It wasn't particularly difficult, but watch for the possibility of screws securing the unit to the boat at the bottom front of the unit.

Re: Getting to back of Freezer to replace thermostat

Thanks, understood. It looks like it would much simpler to pull the fridge by the sinks, than it might be to pull this top loading freezer. It looks like a lot more wood removal than just the door. I despair.
