Need a Skipper to Sail my Boat from Bahamas to France

So here we go. My first Atlantic crossing.

I am going to buy a boat in the USA, and to sail her over to France.

I am alone, my wife is to scared to cross, so I need someone with experience. Anyone interested ?

I have sailed quite a bit, but never crossed big oceans.
The only one I did was Sweden Norway, two days and a rough night,
35 years ago.

Hope you are there......

Raymond, swede living in Sunny France.....

Raymond, you may want to check Dockwise Yacht Transport. They transport boats across the ocean all the time on their Super Servant and you get to stay on your boat and go along. It may end up being easier on you and your boat, and perhaps at the same cost as hiring a good captain. Also, I heard that you can offer to do some work on the Super Servant in exchange for a lesser transportation cost. Good luck.

There are professional yacht delivery captains available. Whoever you hire or bring along, make sure they have years of ocean experience. You will also want to interview this person in person and make sure they have plenty of good references.

I can recommend Roger who lives aboard his boat in EH Antigua. I hooked him up with a delivery years ago and did one with him to Brazil. Boy can he cook too.

Hi, depending on the boat that you buy etc etc I might be interested. I have sailed across the atlantic ocean (both ways) for many years, first as crew and then delivery skipper.

Sorry, finally I will try finding a boat in Europe to avoid the hassel of CE regulations and so on. Thank You. Raymond
