For Sale: Over 400 Paper Charts for Sale, Good price for whole lot!!

After years of storing them, I've decided to part with some of my paper
charts and most of my late father's paper charts.
(Over the years, some have been sold, traded, and given away, but there are
still a few hundred left...actually have listed here 426 charts, plus a
chart book...)

More than half of them are "like new" / never been used, some are lightly
used (but "clean"), and some are slightly more than lightly used (and have
courses still plotted on them)....the few that are "well used" will be
noted.

All are real, full-sized, gov't charts....NOT photocopies, etc...
Most are US DMA Charts and British Admiralty Charts (BA)....and a couple
French and Yugoslavian charts....

If purchased new, today, they would cost over $12,500 USD.....
Yes, that's > $12,500!!!
426 paper charts for UK, EU, N. Atl, US, Gulf of Mex, FL, Bahamas,
Caribbean, S. Amer, Cent. Amer, NZ, Pac Ocean, etc....
All are useable, most are in excellent / "like new" to very good
condition....some are used (with some courses still plotted on them).....and a only few (noted) are "well used"...and a few FL/GoM charts are old and need updating...

I'm NOT looking to make lots of money here, just wish to get enough to make all the work of sorting through and cataloging them all worth while....

My Plan "A" is to sell the whole lot, in its entirety, although
whomever does so may in fact wish to sell off / donate what they have no use or desire for...
I'm willing to sacrifice them for pennies on the dollar....426 charts, plus
my time cataloging them (you get the inventory list, w/ chart descriptions, as well), I suppose is worth at least $1000....(plus shipping charges to you...)

So, that's it folks....
$1000 gets you a LOT of charts.....heck just the UK and Europe charts alone (all in "like new" condition) are worth > $6000!!!

As for the chart dates....

1) All the UK charts, European charts, and Omega Ocean charts are 1975 -
1980, and are in "like new" or excellent condition....

2) The New Zealand charts are 1992-1995...(and in "like new" condition)

3) The Caribbean / S. Amer. charts are from the mid 70's thru mid 80's....

4) The Bahamas charts are from the late 1960's thru late 1970's, mostly
early to mid 70's....

5) The US/FL/GoM charts are from a wide variety of years, from the mid 60's
thru to 1980....

Except for the NZ and GoM charts, I use all of these various groups of
charts regularly/recently (I am keeping some that I will continue to use),
including my Atlantic crossings in 2007 and my Carib and Bahamian cruises in
2008 and 2009....
And, I never had any issue/problem!!

Heck, I've touched the shallow spot on my way to the St. Lucie Inlet, just
1/2 mile from my dock (I draw 6.5' of water)...but haven't run aground
anywhere else!!!

[To be blunt, the older GoM charts need to be updated, or used for passage
planning only....and NZ is a LONG way from me here in Florida, and I just
don't ever see the day that I'll have that much time to sail there
again....but the rest of charts I use all the time, as I use paper charts as
my primary charting....
Yeah, I know I'm "old fashioned", but paper charts, a compass, and DR is how
I learned to Navigate in the 60's (and a sextant and tables in 1970), and
since I've made my living in advanced electronics, I find myself relying on
paper rather than electronics (but I DO use GPS and have a chartplotter as
back-up).....]
