Nice Corbin 39 CHEAP

The Chesapeake Maritime Museum accepts and sells donation boats, and always has a number for sale cheap.

Right now, they have a Corbin 39 with a really sweet description. (I have no affiliation with boat or museum.)

Re: Nice Corbin 39 CHEAP

I don't think it's accurate to describe a Corbin 39 as a motorsailor. These boats are known as a pretty serious voyaging machine. Of course, they are also known for some unusual interiors, since most were finished by the initial owner.

I agree - that was the description by the museum. Look at the photos - it's a clean machine and nicely finished.

No idea, you would have to contact museum.

Just trying to connect what looks like a nice boat with a CF user.

... saildrive?

Sweet boat. At another time, in another life, she'd be mine.

Re: Nice Corbin 39 CHEAP

I'm guessing there is some sort of issue with the boat; otherwise, why would someone donate a boat like this to a charity? The tax deduction is only worth a fraction of what it eventually sells for.

All of the Corbins had Airex (foam) cored hulls. The rare factory finished models were spectacular. The kit built ones are a bit of a crap shoot.

Re: Nice Corbin 39 CHEAP

I looked at this boat over a year ago. Very much a home made finish.

Guess it's worth something to someone.

Re: Nice Corbin 39 CHEAP

The hulls were well-built, however some had problems with gelcoat spider cracks.
