okay. we are here. in florida. looking and going boatshopping. we have:
25000us$. cash. want to spend that one a cruiser.
lengh, minimum 30 feet.ideal 2 cabins or 1 cabin and v berth... lots of storage. easy to sail. diesel engine with low hours.autopilot? chartplotter, gps....radio...yes please, need that. generator? solar? windgen? lots of batteries? fueltank- more then 20 gallons please. watertank-sure, bigger the better.so a boat, can be older, sure but not to much to invest as we do not have lots of money.
want to cruise the caribbean, not intending to do a transatlantic or trip to oz with the boat as we newbies to sailing and all that and not intend to sail around the world- yet.
so, is there something like that around?somewhere in florida? help please.....
post if you have a boat, want to sell a boat, know a boat, have a friend with a boat, know a neighbour with a boat....please...
tell me, tell him.... we in florida for a few months but want to sail away asap......help us......

Have you checked yachtworld.com? I find 90 sailboats in FL 30' or longer for max $25,000.

Why don't you check out a few of those and then come back with specific questions about specific models?

Hey guys, I really do not want to sound crass..

... But, the deals are not here.

As I wait to sell my condo (Lord PLEASE) I regularly scan Yachtworld, Sailboatlistings.com. These sites contain a veritable plethora of boats you could look at. Craig's List down here also has some finds. You may be looking for a lot of goodies for $25K. If you find them on a boat, the vessel may be rough. Lowering the goodies threshhold should yield some nice boats.

in this market, you will want to leave the idea of brokers and yachtworld alone, as far as finding good boats f or low dollars-- this has been a dead horse beating for many years--

I have a 82 Morgan 32 for sale,it's a good boat for the $10,000 ,it does not have engine,but $15,000 would get you a new yanmar 30 hp.you would have a great boat. Thanks Jim

pearson 33 ,1975, atomic 4, good sails,new thru hulls newer bottom paint in nc freashwater,can deliver to sc for 1500.00 total in the water ,7500.00 real nice boat ,you can buy the extras for the diff.in price and have some left over for the kitty thanks and good luck DVC

Btw. Do a little research and ask around about the difficulty getting from Florida to the eastern Caribbean. Unless you get really lucky its alot of windward work. Yes, its a plug for my boat, but its true. Let me know what the price would have to be. I'm ready to sell.
