Version 5.0

I just installed OpenCPN 5.0 on my Ubuntu desktop. When marking out a route each waypoint shows up with a 1 mile range ring around it. This did not happen on my former versions of the program.

I exported the route to my GPX files directory and re-imported it to see if the rings disappear, but they don't.

Right-clicking on a Waypoint, choosing Properties, Extended allows me to eliminate that individual range ring.

I'd like to change the default setting to set all range rings to zero but, after several hours of searching, have been unable to find any way to do this.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Checking the settings of OpenCPN 1.0.25 on my Android tablet, under the Tool Bar, Ships, Own, there is a Waypoints section at the bottom for controlling number and position of waypoint range rings. This is what I'm looking for on the Linux desktop version.

Well, after poking around some more I found the settings under the tool bar, ships, routes/points tab, so please ignore this request! :0

Re: Version 5.0

This is all documented in the What's New in version 5.0, linked to from the release note on the opencpn.org.

In short - what you are looking for is found in Options-Ships-Routes/Points Tab.

Thanks for the link Thomas. I see I have some homework to do!
