Re: S63_PI Beta Test 0.4.0

No doubt about this...
So: if the literals for the Win installer for a given language have been ok, the language file for the PI should be correct as well?

Re: S63_PI Beta Test 0.4.0

bcn...

Not sure about the question....

The Windows installer language files (?.nsh.in) are different from the runtime language files (?.po/mo). The installer files are not substitutable at run-time, but are compiled into the compressed installer. And they are all wrong in the 0.4.0 installer, but will be present and correct in 0.5.0.

Pix attached...

OK?

Re: S63_PI Beta Test 0.4.0

Dave,

much easier:
the literals you have prepared are those from the main installer, I understand.
I didn't notice any difference - so if the literals/idiom strings for the main installer are ok, those for the PI installer as well.
As verified for DE and ES.

Or we might have some interference from the moon this night?

Not silly at all -

we can reproduce this with the just bought S-63 charts as well.
Question: Error of our S-52 presentation level routines? -> GDAL?

Re: S63_PI Beta Test 0.4.0

bcn, etc...

The Sea bed description as "UNK" is now understood, and not too serious. However, this is an error in OCPN base, so will require the next OCPN Beta to resolve.

Thanks

Re: S63_PI Beta Test 0.4.0

Gerhard...

I see that we can use WhiteBox-Packages to build the Mac installer from the command line. The tool is called "packagesbuild", documented here:
Packages - Building a project

Using something like:

Code:
$ /usr/local/bin/packagesbuild /path/to/the/project.pkgproj
So, if this actually works, we can add your pkgprofj file to the github repo, add a target to the CMake scripts, and get an integrated full build solution for Mac.

Have you tested packagesbuild from the command line?
Will you send me a copy of your pkgproj file(s) for the s63 PlugIn?

Thanks
Dave

Re: S63_PI Beta Test 0.4.0

Dave,

you can find the pkdproj here:
http://topperdiek.de/dl/S63-InstallOSX.zip

It seems to be a xml file. I have extracted the used javascript in the attached Readme.txt of the zip and also some other used files like the descriptions of o-charts.org are included. Actually the pkgproj is done for 7 languages since I have not found more description files.

I have not tested command line build but it should work and easy to update the pkgproj for more languages, other local environments and other OpenCPN version to test for.

For further questions give me a note.

Re: S63_PI Beta Test 0.4.0

Hello Dave,

1° 15 minutes ago, I have 2 crash testing S63, with Zoom - button. I send two crash reports.

2° In the center of Channel, (exactly on Greenwich meridian), there is a light vessel.

On S64 chart, it is named only Light. On CM93, it is named Light Vesel.

See screen copy.

Is it a problem with the chart or is it a problem with S63 plugin and O331606 ?

Re: S63_PI Beta Test 0.4.0

Hm...
The chart shows what the underlying object says what it is - Light in one case, Light vessel in the other. So this is correct in both cases.

Think that the S-64 test sets don't have to match reality: they are for testing the compliance with the S-63 distribution format and are not for navigation by any means.

We would need an actual S-63 cell for this point to compare what UKHO is delivering today.

So I think, this is not a problem.

Sorry, not speedy Gilletarom..

For french translation, I see some little mystakes that I corrected.

More, the line #32 was not translated. Is it normal ?

Here join my version with insert #32 translation in line 33.

When I work for this translation, I hope that I use correctly UFF 8 encoding.

Please put out doc type and rename without "FR_"

Hello Dave,

Do not forgot, that "Extended light sector" do not run correctly with S63.

Re: S63_PI Beta Test 0.4.0

Hi at all:

I've got a problem with the new S63 Version an OpenCPN 3.3.1606.
on my first Notebook (Ubuntu 12.04 Precise) it runs fantastical, but on my navigation-notebook (Lubuntu 12.04 ) I've get the Message, that the permits are invalid. In tests with older Versions of Opencpn and the S63 plugin, it runs before.
I deleted the S63 lines in the opencpn.conf and deletet the chartlist.dat. But all without any success.
If I install the permits at twice, it will be aborted by "Permit invalid" and after restarting OpenCPN there are an "X" and an "Y" at the permit column

Where is the problem ?

Thanks for your kindly help!

C488,

"X" and "Y" are the default values for the UserPermit and the InstallPermit if there has been no user input.
What are the messages in the S-63 log (enlarge the window a bit perhaps) and what does OCPN log say?

Clean-up:
Would recommend to to delete the s63Charts and s63SENC directories.
The s63_certificates can stay. If not you might have to install the IHO certificate.
Then re-install the Plug-in.

The s63 folders reside:

Linux(deb): home/"user"/.opencpn/s63
Win 8.1: C:\ProgramData\opencpn\s63
Mac: "user"/preferences/opencpn/s63

Should not be necessary to touch the opencpn.conf

Hope that helps...

Re: S63_PI Beta Test 0.4.0

@bcn:
Hi Hubert, thanks for your helping hand

at first:
from the s63-folders only the certificate-folder exist.
the plugin i have reinstalled two times before I ask here for help and after your answer once again. Installed the plugin was directly with the dpkg command in a terminal and copied in /usr/lib/opencpn.
It started with Opencpn perfectly, but all i do ends by a message, that the Permit is valid....

her the last entries of my opencpn.log

@Columbus488:
Hi Gerd,

when you get that Cell Permit error from /usr/bin/OCPNsenc:
Quote:
17:33:29 CEST: /usr/bin/OCPNsenc -d -p GB10000120121231517C1E9A4BCF3826517C1E9A4BCF382671 4AB61CA474BF64 -u 66B5CBFDF7E4139D5B6086C23130 -e 38F99B50
17:33:34 CEST: s63_pi: Security Scheme Error

SSE 13 - Cell Permit is invalid (checksum is incorrect)
or the Cell Permit is for a different system.
have a look if you also have /usr/local/bin/OCPNsenc.

Maybe you have the new version in /usr/local/bin and here in /usr/bin still an old one.

If this is the case just try:
sudo mv /usr/local/bin/OCPNsenc /usr/bin

and restart O.
