Thanks for the input.

I need to see one of the charts that causes the indicated logfile entries, and also the config file that produces a no-start condition.

Thanks

GRIB Navigate(2)

Sorry, there's a bug in the first version. Selecting another file did not change ComboBox content. I also changed a few options on the file selection dialog.

Enjoy!

Ptizef/JP....

I cannot reproduce your problem with course-up, look ahead mode in post #758.
Any more information? Anyone else seen this? Can someone try to simulate this. It works fine for me....

Thanks
Dave

1. Some of this chart folio has internal errors which opencpn has not seen before, producing crashes.
Dave,

Can you let me know some more about these errors in the charts? You can code around these problems but I can also contact the organisation and let them solve these problems. These charts are a test for us but also for them

Exactly the same result when I dug my 276C out of the dust... And a hang and later crash on exit... Will try to debug it a little bit later today. Looks like MapSource is not the only Garmin product which is a bit crappy

Ptizef,

I get exactly the same, but Dave have said he will have a look for this problem with Garmin GPS. It should be the same problem.

I think that 152 is the new GPS that has followed 126/128. You cannot find 126 and 128 anymore. Most of functions are quite the same.
I am not too much surprise to learn that "Sent to GPS" is not also working with 152
While waiting I think you use, like me, something like gebabbel.

Thanks

Dave , Jean Pierre

I think there bis a small confusion by saying not working with Garmin 152
Last year with the old versions 1.3 .... (I don't remember exactly , Dave is going too fast) I used many times this function and it worked , but only for way points , not for routes . I mean that opencpn was able to send all the way points of the route but not the route itself . It was not a complete function but enough for what I was expecting.
We had discussed about that and if I understood well the data sheet , 152 accepts only the entry sentence WPL
But what I am saying now is that the 210-607 don't send anything to the GPS which is a "regression"
best regards
Jean Pierre

Ptizef....

Are you sure that NOTHING is sent to the GPS? Or is something sent, but wrong format? Do you have any way to check this, maybe by null modem loopback?

Also, do you have a version of 1.3.... which works for WPL?

Thanks

Dave

Dave

I am very sorry ! My mistake !
My GPS is connected via my AIS device ... so no return to GPS !
If I connect directly all way points of the route are sent to my 152 as before (only route is not created)
Please excuse me .
Regards
Jean Pierre

The strange thing is that I have none of this in my log-file after loading this chart. I cannot repeat the problem.
I might just be a problem with the word "søkort" in the path. Try to rename this directory so it does not contain the letter "ø", or similar, and test again.

I had this problem in navigation and just had time to take shots
Now I tried to simulate but didn't succeed to reproduce
Sorry , I'll be watchful on my next sailing (If the Brittany weather permits it ! )

I think the chart has to be loaded together with other charts, so that quilting takes place. But the problem is not consistent, thats the biggest issue.

Concerning the letter 'ø', I can remember a number of releases back, where that was a problem, but I think it has been corrected long ago. But of course, - I will continue identifying where the problem is, so I will try to make a new folder also.

Thanks for the help anyway..

Please remember that the chart is copyrighted.

AIS Target List Dialog

Hi OpenCPNers,

Here is the last one : AIS Taget List Dialog

You can reach it in the right button menu, just under Route Manager menu item.

The content is refreshed every 5 seconds. Only tested with manimaul's AISReplay so far (BTW thanks a lot for that one)

Enjoy!
