Hello Blong,

thanks for the feedback. You can convert your AIS serial signals to USB using a "serial to USB converter". To help you with your 1.3.6 problems, you must specify the exact name of the missing DLL.

changing the color of land/sea

I have been trying to change the colors of the land masses and water to achieve a greater contrast. Is there a way for a user to select the colors used?

If you are talking about the cm93 maps then no..

Otherwise you can easily change color/contrast etc. of a bitmap version of your maps before converting to .kap format.

There is a method, it's documented here, note opencpn.org should hopefully be back soonish, best go there then.
