Or do you have any s63 version higher than 0.6?

Gerhard
Yes, there is a newer version available we can send on request.
Will be packaged with the upcoming S-63 release.

What are your vector chart settings?

Anyone else see this phenomenon?

Thanks

It is indeed strange. I've attached the vector chart settings.

Perhaps equally strange is the behaviour of OpenGL on the boat computer - MiniItx with Jetway board, S3G graphics, Windows XP SP3. The attachment shows that dashed lines are solid and every text and graphic element has a border! Same vector chart settings.

Perhaps not really a problem as the performance is fine without OpenGL.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2107 Released

Small undocumented (unwanted) feature.

Current Beta version on Windows with vector charts

Closing an Object Query (with Ok or X) will leave the object query window active. The chart will will be moving / zooming inside this active window

hmmm, I will start using Flyspray....

Logbook:
1:46:47 PM: opencpn::MyFrame exiting cleanly.
1:46:47 PM: Chart cache purge
1:46:47 PM: Chart cache purge

But in W7 Task manager OpenCPN is still running. No logbook entry If I kill the process

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2107 Released

This beta on Mac OSX 10.8.5 has several issues that the older versions did not.

1. Opening OCPN changes the colorsync profile of the monitor so that colors, whitepoint and temperature are much different.

2. Cannot zoom in closer than the chart datum (CM93) - no "overzoom".

3. The main OCPN toolbar menu does not work - clicking on "OCPN" in the toolbar has no effect and no drop-down menu showing "quit", "hide", etc. CMD-Q on the keyboard is the only way to quit the program. CMD-H does not hide it, though.

These were found immediately upon running the program. I haven't used it more that that. I will go back to older versions since I don't have the expertise to help out here.

Thanks for the continual development from those who do have the skills!

Mark

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2107 Released

On Windows 7, 64 bits the computer jam when overzooming and also whn de-zooming change charts from S-57 to CM93 automatiquely. That is something new to me. OpenGL on or not. Here is the 2 log files.

You may find success if you implement the changes you consider important.

Do you know, opengl extensions have nothing to do with wxwidgets?

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2107 Released

Hello Dave,

Just send a crash report.

I use O 332107 only 10 minutes. I use it for see weather with grib plugin. No problem. Then I use it with tide level and then with current level. And I shutdown O. And, then, during the shutdown (?), crash.

B.R. Gilletarom.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2107 Released

Objects are getting clipped at cell borders depending on the scale.
Have a look to the lights and light houses. Happens with text as well.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2107 Released

bcn...

re your post (Barcelona):
MAC-OS, OpenGL on
S63 charts

Panning produces different areas which are not correctly rendered.
Outlines of charts with varying width

Aside from outline variable widths, what other rendering problems am I looking for here?

re:
MAC OS, OpenGL ON
S-63 charts

Zooming in will produce void tiles with nested charts.
Reaching OverZoom will fill the tile

This is a legitimate bug in 3.3.2107, unrelated to S63 or OpenGL.
Correction is understood, will be in next Beta.

I found the same thing on NOAA S57 charts at
36 25.2185 N 075 57.3263 W
today while transiting the region in real life.

Thanks for the catch.
