Sounds like a good idea.

Maybe someone else will proof it. I will be glad to fix any errors. Would probably need screen shots of errors. I'll start on the change logs tonight.
Yes, I know. It took me a day for the whole doc the first time, and I did not get them all. I think you probably got 99% of them in Charts, and Getting Started is ok.

Re: Opencpn 4.1.1108 Documentation

David, I've been trying to create a new screenshot with labels for the Grib plugin as things have changed.

Just put the number into the "Show Task Number" in the upper right. It will show any task that exists whether it is closed or not.

====
Note: This Advanced Search is NOT needed.

To see closed items in the Tracker. Let's see, I have to actually do it....
Login to Tracker
OpenCPN::Tracker All Projects: Tasklist

Put the Project Dropdown on "00-OpenCPN Feature Requests" you could select "All" or "OpenCPN 4.1.x Beta" AMENDED: Pick "All Projects"

See "Search For" a little lower down. Click on "Advanced"
Under "Task Properties" make sure the top one "All..." is selected for each category, including "Status" = "All Status"

Now up at the top right, under SHOW TASK NUMBER put in the FS number 1609 or 1754 or whatever

Then scroll down to see it.

Re: Opencpn 4.1.1108 Documentation

Rick,

Would it be possible for you to make a snapshot of the Options>Ships>AIS Targets window. The current one in the doc is old.
I don't have windows running.

Thanks,
Peter

Replaced all Options screenshots yesterday with new ones.
The ships > ais one is actually two screenshots because it must be slid up.

OK, I see that the screenshot was updated for the Options page but it was not on the AIS page.
Fixed it.

Re: Opencpn 4.1.1108 Documentation

We are working towards having the User Documentation Complete by the end of the weekend possibly. Bdbcat will advise us further I hope.

There will be one day's worth of checking links at the end, (Sunday).

We encourage the Plugin authors to try to have their documentation current by then.

If anyone wishes to help with updating the External Plugin Documentation, in the next few days (some of these need improvement/updates) that is where I would suggest focus at this point, as it is a defined task that could be done in the time period, and does need to be done at some point.

The two that come to mind are:
- Weather_routing
- Weather_fax

Also there is no documentation really for nvcharts.
There are others as well.

---
Peter [ptulp] and David [wdkester], I hope you will continue to work on the main documentation as you can and have time available. You have been a huge help, and we all [users] really appreciate it.

Re: Opencpn 4.1.1108 Documentation

David, fixed the links in options, I believe.
I do not know what causes that.
Perhaps we need to Save more frequently when working.
I try not to leave an Edit Window open if I am not working on it.

This morning I had some background script from this website slowing things down and also I found out that MS was busy downloading updates! I am going to turn that off. Perhaps one of those caused the problem. I really don't know what it was, but eventually we will figure it out.

Perhaps we need to be extra careful when making links, but I don't believe I made any links in that session. I did tell the script to bugger off several times, thinking it was cruising forums slowing things down (why run a video you never watch! ---I'd like to shut them all off.)

Re: Opencpn 4.1.1108 Documentation

Rick,
I have been guilty of leaving pages open. Ill try to be more careful.

I moved my change log #*? to Beta Dev Change Log

so we're both on the same page. HAHA

Re: Opencpn 4.1.1108 Documentation

Rick, there's still a link missing @ Charts> Chart Resources Background Chart I'm sure had a link to the detailed (and large) background chart.

I also reinserted the links for NV charts and BSB4 charts.
