Jon Gough has included documentation for Plugin standalone translations to avoid the duplicate word problem.

Nav (creator), Jon Gough (creator), Gilletarom and I have edited a Plugin Messaging document which has been added to the User Manual for Plugin Messaging for ODraw, WD and WR.

This needs to be doctored a little bit , to be done later.
OD and WD now have references to this document.

Also I will add references in Weather_routing and in the Plugins section under Development sometime today.

Huh, we have a new main developer now? Congratulations.

I always thought there has been a plugin message system years ago already implemented in pluginmanager. I'm really glad to have my own versions of OpenCPN and plugins and so not need to follow these mismatches of versions and code perversions.

Since this is an open source program it is logical that code structure be published rather than remain "secret".

This Development Guide sub-page is most likely to change and mature, so it is a dedicated duplicate which will migrate from the plugin messaging page.

Please feel free to correct and augment this document (as well as plugin messaging, which is dedicated to messages between the plugins Ocpn_Draw, WD and WR primarily).
