How can I post a screenshot, large document or compressed file to the Cruiser's Forum?

Where is my opencpn.log file?

Where is my opencpn.ini or opencpn.conf file?

Re: How to get GPS Position

You have different speeds set on each port.

What speed is the GPS actually sending at though?

Try getting all the speeds to match particularly the speed setting on the GPS and the speed settings in OCPN.

Actually used mac for a while as a work laptop but gave it up when I realised how restrictive the mac system is. Along with the limited support for hardware and the dire shortage of software. Enjoy

He is using a Bluetooth device where the Bluetooth speed is usually set higher then the normal GPS speed of 4800.

Regardless of whether Bluetooth's baud rate is generally higher than a real serial UART, you still have to match baud rate at both ends or the signal will not be sampled at the correct interval.

Has Fugawi captured the port for its own purposes, preventing OpenCPN from accessing it?

Can you see what port configuration Fugawi is using?

So why you don't give this poor guy the correct settings he has to do and where are these ends he has to enter them? He is searching already 5 days long.

Because I don't have access to a SkyPro 160 Bluetooth so I don't know the correct settings. The best I can do is suggest a couple of avenues to pursue and to point out when he is receiving incorrect information from other posters.

No problem, here you can find the manual:
https://gps.dualav.com/s/XGPS160-OM-Rev-13.pdf
Any other information is here also:

BTW I love people talking about things they don't have.

Are you the poster sending incorrect informations or why you can't understand the links of docs I pointed at?

Re: How to get GPS Position

I think generic named "gpscharts" has given up, which is fine, IMHO, he could not seem to post screenshots that were legible or attach files.
