display problem

There seems to be a problem of overlapping maps near St. Malo/France. If you go to 48 38,5N and 002 01,4W you will see the river Rance in blue going north into the English Channel at the Britanny coast. If you select more details, some of the river is no longer plotted correctly. I find the same behaviour if I use KAP files from VentureFurther for this area. Some of the KAP files are not plotted at all.

Re: display problem

Which type of charts? Version of OpenCPN on which OS you are using? Can you please publish some screen shot in order to get an idea what you see as an issue?

Re: display problem

try OpenGL=OFF please.

And you might want to try this patched version of OpenCPN:

Re: display problem

@girouette

I have tried three different versions of CM93. All three behaves the same.
I see what you describe up to a scale of about 1:20000. If I zoom in further to about 1:10000 detailed charts appears.
So it looks like CM93 is missing details in some intermediary charts.

Be warned that there are a lot of similar and worse problems with CM93 worldwide. Search this forum if you are interested.

Re: display problem

@girouette

This is the area with the last cm93 I have from May 2015.
There is an information like this for the grey area of Les Pauvresses:
Navigation interdite
Un filin de securite relie a des bouees de couleurs rouge et orange delimite la zone (voir Instructions Nautiques).
