We need to see CMakeCache.txt, the screenshot does not tell us anything useful apart from the information, that WX is not OK...

It seems to be the same errors when execute Cmake both times.
CMakeCache.txt from C:\Data-Dart\Up-Soft\Navigation\OpenCpn-Dev\OpenCPN (was the source files downloaded with git clone command)

For some reason there is a similarly named file CMakeCache.txt from C:\Data-Dart\Up-Soft\Navigation\OpenCpn-Dev\build (which is intended to be the compiled directory)

In the OpenCPN source directory CMakeCache.txt found. Don't know if this path prefix should point somewhere else? Also cmake linker is not found.

I have NOT done any of the following because I have MS Visual Studio 10!
However I do want to debug OpenCPN, (does this then mean I have to be able to debug wxWidgets?) - Also, I assume MS Visual Studio 10 does not require I do anything about the quote below.

  • Create an environment variable WXWIN with value C:\wxWidgets-2.8.12, if it does not exist already
  • Start Visual Studio Command Prompt (2010)

git clone git://github.com/OpenCPN/OpenCPN.git opencpn-git
cd opencpn-git
mkdir build
cd build
cmake -G "Visual Studio 10" ..
If it goes well:

wxWidgets_USE_REL_AND_DBG (checked)

Do I need another wxWidgets path to
C:\Data-Dart\Up-Soft\Navigation\OpenCpn-Dev\OpenCPN\wxWidgets?
If so, what do I call it?

Also I now have
CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX C:/Data-Dart/Up-Soft/Navigation/OpenCpn-Dev
... changed from "c:Program Files (x86)/OpenCPN"

Is this correct?

Exactly, add C:\Program Files\Poedit\bin (If you installed poedit to the default location, the executable cmake is looking for here is msgmerge.exe) to your PATH (remember that you have to restart the command prompt after that so it sees the new environment variable)
