CPM Comes Up With a Black Screen

cpn comes up with a black screen. i have the charts and it has worked before. any quick solutions?

If that doesn't work, please give us complete info on your system, version of OpenCPN etc. Include a screen-shot of the black screen.

I have toggled f5 and reinstalled multiple times.

windows 7, 64 bit op, 4 gb ram
newest vertion of cpn 3.2.2

You image is not viewable.

To post an image:
Use 'Post reply' (just under the last post) rather than 'Quick reply'
Scroll down and click on 'Manage attachments'
Click on 'Choose File' and select your image
Click on 'Upload' to the right of this
When it has uploaded, scroll down to the bottom and click on 'Close this window'
The image should now be attached at the bottom of your post (you can click on 'Preview Post' if you want to view it).

What raster chart is loaded?

Thank you for your replies.
It seems that the default was placing me in the far east somewhere and when I zoomed out enough I was able to see the charts.
After hooking it to my GPS all works well on one laptop. The other still has problems but one is good enough.

The black background map was last used in version 3.0.2 released in July 2012. Versions3.2.0(February 2013) and 3.2.2 (May 2013) use a totally different background map. So I think that you have version 3.0.2, and really should update to 3.2.2
