Arrows on Route lines, can the be configured away?

I use O for route comparisons for sail racing and others. The arrows that appear on each segment of a route when the route is more than approx 10 mm on the map make it very fuzzy when several alternatives meet in one point. Can the arrow at the end of each segment be deleted with a parameter in the configuration file?

Thank you for a clear answer. I try another way by exporting the routes, modify the route gpx-file to a track gpx-file, and import it.
