Others single larger and small boats. What's the issue?

Are you asking about single handing a 30 ft boat? No problem, great size for that.

I don't see why not.. the addition of a furler for the head sail makes it much easier than the original hank on sails.
Just start on quiet to moderate days till you have a comfortable routine/system worked out.. looks a decent enough boat for any reasonably fit person M/F to manage.

...and the Soverals are very responsive boats (Ive sailed a bit larger ones, assuming the same applies to the 30), which has its pros and cons for single handing, but at least makes it fun.

Ease of single handing depends much more on boat set up than size, but on the Soveral 30 you should easily be able to reach the tiller and primaries from a normal helming position...perfect for single handing.

I single hand my Hobie 33 every chance I get!
