What is this connector?

About to install a galvanic isolator and was looking at my wiring when I came across this connector I never noticed before next to my shorepower connection. It's wiring runs straight to the 12 volt ground bus bar

Re: What is this connector?

My boat had that connector for a landline connection when purchased. Gone now.

Re: What is this connector?

I use one of these connectors to connect my winch control in the aft cockpit to the removable remote control cable and switch. There are three points of connection which make it ideal for this. These connectors have been used for a lot of different applications. If as you say, the wires are all connected to the dc negative ground bus. a few possible options could be considered. 1. A point to attach an overboard sacrificial zinc. 2. Old unused telephone connector with wires tied to ground for safety. 3. Any number of ideas the previous owner may have had.

Re: What is this connector?

Thank you for all the information, I am hoping someone knows the name of this connector so I can find the female part to it and get a coaxial currently running though a porthole onto this inlet.

Re: What is this connector?

Google "marine phone female connector" or "Hubble phone marine connector"

Can't find the actual industry ID for this type yet.

Also, a local RV supply store may have one collecting dust on a shelf.
