Simrad NSS software update glitches?

I recently applied the latest software update (Version 3 , july 2014) to my NSS 12 chartplotter.

Today I'm finding I can't create new waypoints or routes. I go through the routine, then save the waypoint or route, only to find that it just disappears.

Is anyone else having this problem, or is it my plotter specifically? I'm wondering if it's related to the new software, or an individual fault with the plotter, which is otherwise working perfectly.

I have to ask the silly question first. Have you checked to make sure your display setting are set to display waypoints? I have an NSS8 and while I have not experienced the problem you have, I do know you can choose not to display waypoints in the settings menu. Perhaps this has defaulted to this setting.
