Pedestal style mount- without pedestal.

Hello all

I am currently looking to purchase a marshall cat 22. Has a wheel mounted from stern (standard setup).

I have no desire to replace the rack and pinion setup to go to the complexity of a pedestal mounted wheel. I do, however, want to have a folding table for the cockpit and electronics mounted in front of the wheel.

I don't see a 1" inverted U pedestal guard alone having enough stability to pull off being a mount and table support without attaching to a sturdy steering pedestal (as they are designed to do). All searches I try lead to options where there is pedestal steering.

If anyone has any useful advice it would be much appreciated.
