Pedestal side mount engine control options

Hello everyone. I just finished my new pedestal rebuild project and call me cheap, but I really don't want to spend $600 on mechanical engine controls. I am moving away from the top mounted dual lever controls from morse to side mounted dual controls. Does anyone have a viable option to the CH2500P that is not $600? I looked at the vetus option, but looks like they have this big bulky plate and hole that needs to be cut in the side and others look like plastic junk. I am looking for the classic look and form factor of the Teleflex CH2500P MJB control, but not the price....I know ... I know......

Plenty of options in the Fisherman's Supply catalogue, or if you're Canadian, Stright-Mackay or Mermaid Marine.

I never go to the recreational boat places for more than anchor-themed placemats, if you catch my drift.
