Need Alpha Autopilot Motor

The drive motor in my Alpha 3000 autopilot has just failed and I've been advised that both the motor and the drive head are obsolete and no longer available and that I need to replace the entire drive head.

Before I go this undesirable route I wanted to see if anyone had a spare motor or older Alpha drivehead. My drive head is a model SGU-164 and the motor is a Pittman 12VDC, model 13103B860.

Thanks,

The motor manufacturer (Pittman) could not come up with the motor specs (my second call) although they did indicate that they would serch their archives. All I have is the motor model number and when I Googled it all I came up with is a post from a couple of years ago for someone also looking for the motor.

I think I'm down to someone having an old drivehead from having changed out their Alpha pilot for other reasons.

Jack-I have an Alpha 3000 circa 1990 that I have just replaced. Unfortunately, the reason I replaced it was because the drive unit had "crapped out"(just quit working) so I don't know if any of it is still functional. Let me know if interested.
