Mobile Providers for International Cruisers

I am currently using AT&T as my service provider. For those cruising Florida, the Caribbean and the world, which of the US service providers do you use for voice, text and data? I am curious about signal availability, service and price. Any information or comments would be appreciated. Thank you.

AT&T works great for USVI and Puerto Rico. You can pick thir signal from some BVI anchorages too.
For other places I get a local prepaid SIM card; why waste money in international roaming?
If you want to keep US number all the time get a Skype incoming number and keel it diverted to whatever island number you are using.
