Unhappy MMSI rest on New B&G

Hi folks, I replaced my radio to get the benefits of an AIS transceiver in a new B&G V60-B. Unfortunately I programmed my old mmsi but was then given a new number from AMSI (in Australia) for the radio.
I have read and tried the reset for a V50 but this does not work for the V60-B. Does anyone know of the sequence or method to get the MMSI reset?

Thanks Paul, I had read all of that thread before posting. I was hoping someone might know the right sequence for a B&G V60 to prevent having to remove the radio and get it back to the Dealer to change. So far no luck. The Dealer who is a B&G agent has hinted that its similar but not the same as earlier models but still insists that the unit must be returned to reset the MMSI.

Re: MMSI rest on New B&G

Well due to a flood of non-responses I had to return my Radio to a B&G dealer to reset it.
I could not convince the dealer to let me know how to do it though. So ripped it out, sent it back and reinstalled all over again. So if anyone does find out how to do this for the B&G V60-B please post.

I am planning to buy the V60-B. How's your experience so far?
Any luck you found how to reset it?

Here the procedure for a V60 or V60-B: MMSI reset on New B&G

Please check your countries regulations, if you are allowed to change your MMSI !!!

It is from SIMRAD, but as all is Navico Group it works on V60 and V60-B.

- Power off
- Press and hold following two buttons: DSC/MENU + 16/9
- keep pressing them and power on
- follow instructions: Enter PIN 2173
- follow instructions
Done.

Can someone please confirm if this has worked for the B&G V60-B? We have changed our registration and need to change the MMSI but we're far into the Pacific coast of Mexico.

These steps worked for me and I did not get any errors. On the screen it said system restarting. After restart my old MMSI was still present.
Are there any additional steps I'm missing?
