I have recently got myself a new GPS
receiver and I'm surprised at the number of data connections is has, being merely a receiver.
I would like to know what is the purpose of all the data cables
. I am intending to connect it to a nmea
multiplexer and for this I would only need a single
TX out from the reciever.
Why does it have a second TX out and two RX connections? What information would a chart plotter give to the GPS
receiever and why would it need two connections?
I could imagine one being used for firmware upgrades.
