OS X 1.3.6 GPS Data Not Showing Up

I know OS X isn't very supported right now for opencpn -- but was hoping someone might have some insight. I have a Globalsat BU-303/353 usb GPS receiver. the receiver is getting data and shows up as an option in my settings under opencpn as /dev/cu.usbserial I checked to see if any data was showing in the datastream window -- no joy, I assume I need to change the baud rate for OpenCPN in interfacing with the GPS, but not sure how to do this.

thanks!
Brian

Please try and get GPS data on any software first; I would suggest the instrument display software polarcom for this purpose.

GPS data shows up fine using a program called GPSUtility that came with the receiver and in a demo of GPSnavx

The BU-353 works fine out of the box for me on linux. Anyone else got any ideas?
