Galapagos VSAT Internet Coverage

Hello,

I am the chief engineer on board the sail yacht Perseus. We will be visiting the Galapagos Islands for 2-3 weeks in December over Christmas. The owner of the vessel is requesting on board internet and I am curious what the local knowledge is for VSAT coverage. Anyone have any experience with internet there?

He can but request!
We were there in July last year in San Christobal. There was no wifi at the anchorage.
There was 2 or 3 internet cafes that had the slowest computer connections imaginable.

I know nothin about Vsat or any of that sort of stuff. One would be surprised if they have anything better than 2 jam tins and string....
