AutoHelm 5000 analog wiring

Does anyone have the wire color codes for this unit and/or service manuals for this unit?

Recently picked up a headunit alone that looks NOS. even though this is far out of date and will likely be unable to find a drive unit I hope to get some use from it. I would like to see if i can set this up with a generic linear drive for my primary electronic autopilot.

These units had a control board on the motor that has 7pins. I am attempting to figure out what these pins go to. Current best guess is 4 total for the motor drives and clutches, 2xheadunit power and ground and maybe 1 potentiometer. course it could be a variety of other combos. If there is a potentiometer I might be in trouble unless someone has the referance values so I can source it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you for the link to the installation manuals.

Unfortunately those manuals do not have the information I need.

Autohelm made an external power amp for the 5000. It replaces the internal circuit board and is capable of type 1, 2 ,3. The 7 pin cable goes into the amp which then powers your drive

Nice. That looks similar to what I would build and obviously is able to work without the potentiometer feedback simulating rudder position.

Would you happen to have any other information or manuals for that?

Thank you

Sorry, I have not even seen reference to the power amp in the owners manual. No other info.
