Autohelm 5000

Hi,

I have an Autohelm 5000, yes, 5000. Not the ST stuff. This is a 20 year old + unit. I am looking for any info on this. Particularly a cct diagram. The reason? I want to make a remote control for it.
The other reason is it slips when under heavy load. It is a servo motor driving a sprocket that drives a chain to the helm.

Please let someone out there have some / know someone with some information.
