Langkawi is a good place to buy and sell and register a sailboat. It is a duty free port, not far from Thailand and Singapore. There are established brokers with good listings. Suggest contacting Michele Pippen and/or Bob McCain.
Michele at Pippen Marine and Bob at Index
or Simpson Marine at Asia's Leading Yacht Broker - Simpson Marine
or Lee Marine at Brokerage Yachts Sales In Asia, Phuket Thailand - Lee Marine

I would recommend Michele.

I'll second Bob and Judy. Google Howison Marine or PM me for contact details.
