Handbook of Offshore Cruising

My local bookstores don't have much in the way of sailing/maritime books so it makes trying to learn about all this stuff a bit of a challenge, but when there is something that looks promising (and doesn't cost a hundred bucks) I try to pick it up.

I found this book:

I have to say it's really well written and the information is very nicely laid out and explained in simple straightforward English. It's not dumbed down to complete layman's terms, but it is explained thoroughly enough that just in the first hundred pages I have found explanations for many things that have always had me a bit confused.

Anyway, it was $29 at B&N and looks to be a bit lower on amazon
