Blender or What?? on board

My 16 year old blender just bit the dust so looking for a replacement brand or even another mixing device that is suitable for on board.

I really don't have the storage space for a variety of kitchen appliances, nor am I a sophisticated cook.

So what do you recomend as the best mixer/blender to have on board?
Thanks!

Save space, try a stick blender. Usually can run off of a very small inverter.

+1. My wife uses these a lot. We have one aboard and ashore. Wont crush ice obviously, but great for making smoothies and soups.

If you aren't doing anything heavy duty (ie: crushing ice), a stick blender is great.

We have a “Ninja” blender. Has two really sharp knives it it and will turn ice to chips in seconds.
About our only use for it is making frozen Dacquris, so it may not be a good blender, but it’s great for frozen drinks

Hand crank blender from GSI for big projects and ice.
Vortex Hand-Cranked Camping Blender - 2 Speed | GSI Outdoors

We also have the wand style small blender for immersion work.

I have both an electric handheld whisker and a Kenwood blender which cost approximately £23. They run off a 500w inverter. They are one of those little things that makes sailing even more pleasurable and adds a touch of luxury to even the smallest of yachts.

Do you use a blender and need one? If so, bring whatever you like to use. If you seldom use it on land, it might not be something you want on your ship.

I use a chopper from Tupperware. It has a pull cord and will chop ice.
Amazon has it for about $35 if I remember right. I use it a lot.
Easy to use and does not take up much space.

I use a small food processor on land for salsa and some sauces. In the galley, I find my chef knife can do most any job. But I am only cooking for two.
Bring what you need. The dedicated things like bread machines and rice cookers are to be avoided.

Its a crap blender.
But makes great ice..

I second a good quality Stick blender for blending.. short operation time and little inverter use.
