No Pos Data from my Raymarine 49E

Have just installed Raymarine 49e. Connecting to Lowrence 5150c chartplotter. From Raymarine manual have connected nmea cabling colours: Grey (Raymarine) to Yellow (Lowrence), Purple (Raymarine) to Black (Lowrenece). Configured Lowrence to provide nmea output, No Pos Data showing on 49e VHF. Should I have connected to Raymarine Blue & Brown? Any other thoughts?

Re: No Pos Data from my Raymarine 49E

Enquired with Lowrence, was advised that the yellow wire has a resistor in line with it and a diode between the yellow and black wires, both under heat shrink insulation, for use with Lowrence VHF. With the Raymarine VHF both the resistor and diode should be removed and wired directly. Chart plotter now talking to VHF.
