Re: Free Routing Software. qtVlm

Hi Luc,
Can you send me a sample? If nobody is able to read their GPX export it seems to me that it's more an issue in iNavX than in qtVlm but I will have a look.
Philippe.

Hi Philippe,

I expect indeed that it is rather an iNavX problem, as you mentionned. I found the convert-solution on the qtVlm forum, but if I would know what is wrong, then it will be easier to find a better solution.

First attachment is an example of the iNavX export file.

Second one is an export file from GPX-viewer app, still not visible in qtVlm.

Third file is converted by 'GPS visualizer' website, and perfect.

Thanks again for helping me.

Re: Free Routing Software. qtVlm

The good news for both of us is that it is already fixed in qtVlm next version due in the coming days (5.9.0), all your files are loading normally here, that was fixed some weeks ago in fact.

Re: Free Routing Software. qtVlm

Hi all,
5.9.0 has been released, main goodies are CM93/V2 support on all platforms including iOS and Android, and some special features concerning lights...
A big-bang V6 is planned by end of this year, there will be some updates in the 5.9.x in between.

Re: Free Routing Software. qtVlm

Does anybody knows how to show depth and height in vector charts in meters instead of feet in QtVlm ?

Re: Free Routing Software. qtVlm

Good question... Normally it's meters for depth and whatever unit is in the chart for height, and you cannot change that. Something we forgot to do, to be honest. We'll add an option in the next release.

But it was OK is the previous releases for what I remember ... I may didn't pay much attention.
Moreover, the data in the chart is in meter - right click / chart object details (Elements de la carte vectorielle)

Voilà !
Edit: In fact, you are right, depth are in meters but height in feet ...
Height of tours were in meters before. It confused me ...

Re: Free Routing Software. qtVlm

... I am looking for the polar data for a Lagoon 400 if someone happen to have them (friends are just crossing with a L400).

I think they were included in a large zip file with plenty of polar files someone offered here on CF a while ago but can't find it any longer on my Mac :-(

Any help?

Thanks!

Re: Free Routing Software. qtVlm

Hi,

It seems, I have had this issue on some linux systems.
Try to launch in command line, move to ~/qtvlm, then qtvlm &
You can post your issue in english on https://www.virtual-winds.org/forum/...ic/7769-qtvlm/
Hope this helps.

Re: Free Routing Software. qtVlm

Yes Apple did a really great job with Catelina, they should have call it Calamita
You can do the following:
Locate qtvlm forder in Finder then right click on qtVlm
App and choose run. If it still refuses to launch, again from Finder in qtVlm folder choose "open a terminal" (the last option via right click) and type
sudo xattr -rc .
(note the point at the end)

And then it should be ok to launch qtVlm

Re: Free Routing Software. qtVlm New Question

Hope this post is in the right place?? Couldnt find an appropriate sub forum?

Hi all
I have been looking at Qtvlm with interest. I love what I see.
Regarding NMEA input to it, I do not see any option for engine gauges. 183 or 2000. Is it possible or any plans to add the function.
Thanks for any help
John
