Anyone use .531" chain?

FYI in case anyone is interested

Found this upcoming auction for 2 drums of 100' .531" welded steel chain:
2dr Welded Chain, P/N 271, 100ft long X 0.531 dia., Load Limit 9200lb., Breaking Strength 26000lb., Material Steel, End - Government Liquidation

That site has several lots of that chain, one with 3 drums. Not sure, but don't most "small" yachts use .375" (3/8") chain or will the windlasses handle the 1/2" stuff?

I believe it's the length of the link that is the issue of it fitting through a windlass, and the fact that it's not galvanized
