jerry jugs?

hey,

on one of my boats I have four really nice, thick, 'Rubbermaid'-brand 6G diesel jerry cans that have held up admirably for about ten years, but my new sailboat has none. I can't seem to find the Rubbermaid ones anywhere anymore!

is there a "gold standard" for modern jerrycans? I won't be in the US for very long so I could care less about fidgety breakable "safety nozzles", but I'd like something that's built to take a bit of abuse.

what about those metal NATO-style cans, any experiences using those on a boat?

Just went through this search and purchase. Ended up with these. Two for gas (red) and two for diesel (yellow). Still sitting at my house, but they look and feel hardy.

Drew23, cover them with something to keep UV off, and they'll last very well. Easy covers to make.

Re: jerry jugs?

I just bought a VP Racing fuel jug and very happy with it. No leaks or drips.

Didn't know Moeller made fuel jugs. I have a Moeller oil change pump/jug and love it.
