Re: How About One OF These As A Tender?

I can see this replacing a jet ski, but I can't see the point of the electric motor. They should have tried to market one new technology at a time. Then come out with an electric drive if the design works in the real world.

I especially like these features:

"Wt: 100Kg*

(yeah, that's really useful info - so what do the foils, engines and batteries weigh?)

and

"Foil design places the center of gravity 8 meters above the vessel, ensuring Quadrofoil to stay horizontal at all times." (WTF???)
Looks to be a toy for people who have nothing better to do with their money?

Re: How About One OF These As A Tender?

i'll bet the smiles on the two people's faces would come right off if they were in 1-2 feet of choppy water. I'd like to see a video of that foil in rougher water. Of course the sales would not be as good if the foil couldn't handle rough water. It looked good going accross flat glassy water, but a headwind chop might do in the batteries after a while and the bucking the waves would give that boat would not make for a very good video advertisement i figure. I'll pass

Way back in the 70's when the Jet ski was new, the competition was called a wet bike, a type of hydrofoil
