self tacking traveller block removal probl

Hello, Anybody knows how to dismantle this travellerblock. Don't see screws. only the two at the top for the hook. Do I have to remove the traveller (white ALU profile) before I can access other screws?

Take the traveler off the end of the track, from there you can access the nuts beneath the eye strap.

Usually there is a stop at each end of the track which, once removed, allows the car to be slid off the end. I don't know that particular traveler but sometimes there are loose balls that fall out as the car is removed... either be ready to catch them or have a short length of track to slide the car onto and then go somewhere easier to remove completely. Good luck.

Ok i'll try that. My issue is that I have to renew the line. I guess this has to be done also from below?

I don't know that design but that seems unusual to me. I can't really tell from the pictures but is there some type of clamp? Maybe loosen the bolts on top and see if that does anything. But that's just a guess - maybe someone else knows. Can you contact the manufacturer?

I’d be willing to bet that the line passes through the hole and into a void where it’s knotted with a stopper.

Unusual that the car control line is not centered on the car. If the control line leads forward, it should be tied off through the loop holding the block's shackle. This would result in the car being equidistant from the centerline on either tack. The current method of attachment also has the line riding on the car's sharp edges.

Is indeed excentric…. but functions well. Not changed in 20 yrs...

I concur with the view it is likely knotted underneath and will need removing from one or the other end of the track. It looks like an early Lewmar track with a wheeled traveller (not a recirculating ball) four wheels on each side, you can see the stub ends of the axles on the outer edge.
